Climate Change and Canada: Getting to Zero by 2050 [PDF]. The Guide summarizes the science of climate, takes as a starting point the key message of climate science (namely humans need to reduce emissions to zero, the sooner the better), outlines Canada's emissions, analyzes on a sector by sector basis the extent to which technologies and practices can get Canadian emissions to zero, summarizes the sectoral findings (95 percent reduction in emissions by 2050), and outlines the public policies needed to effect the reduction. This is a very early draft and will be updated to eliminate a few errors, reduce the discussion of climate science and update and expand the discussion of technologies and practices that will get Canadian emissions to zero.
