Aboriginal Issues
This section, currently under development, will address Aboriginal issues, particularly issues related to economic development.
With regard to economic development, the focus will be on:
- The economic gap between Aboriginal and other Canadians. This is the basis for government initiatives related to Aboriginal economic development. Without the gap, there would be little policy need for government programs.
- Trends in Aboriginal economic development over time. Trends are relevant in determining whether there is progress.
- Economic development differences within Aboriginal groups. This should be the basis for priorizing government programming related to Aboriginal economic development.
- Economic development profiles of Aboriginal groups. This should be a factor in the design of Aboriginal economic development programs targeted at specific Aboriginal groups.
- Internet resources related to economic development in Aboriginal communities, as a tool to facilitate Aboriginal economic development.
